HCM Technology Report – Employ Acquires Lever, Adds Capabilities to Suite

Employ Inc. acquired Lever, a talent acquisition suite that offers ATS and CRM capabilities in one product. In a blog post, Employ Chief Marketing Officer Allie Kelly said the transaction makes Employ the largest modern provider of talent acquisition solutions. By adding Lever, she said, the company becomes home to 850 employees serving 18,000 customers. In addition, it supports 3.1 million active jobs, nearly 500 million candidates and 4.9 million hires over the past 12 months. “It makes abundant sense that Lever would join the fray with JazzHR, Jobvite and NXTThing RPO,” said Brent Skinner, co-founder of 3Sixty Insights, where he leads the firm’s HCM practice. “We believe that the pieces of the puzzle to a progressive talent acquisition suite are indeed right in front of […]

Analyst Insight: Strategizing for High-Volume Hiring Success

What You Need to Know Many larger organizations with customer service and support roles are in the practice of hiring hundreds or even thousands of positions a year – even more for those with high-volume seasonal needs such as retail, warehouse and delivery services. Other industries also prone to high-volume hiring needs, such as healthcare and commercial air travel, are constantly fighting the competition for in-demand, highly specialized talent. But traditional hiring practices for high-volume hiring can add unnecessary steps to the application and screening processes for roles that may only have basic candidate prerequisites, while the sheer volume of applicants could clog candidate review and interview processes. In addition, a lengthy time-to-offer may mean missing out on candidates who are applying to multiple companies […]

Just Because You Can, Does Not Mean You Should

Many have used this quote in books, movies, and even the apostle Paul in the Bible. CRISPR technology allows scientists to alter our DNA sequences and modify gene function. Think of this technology as the ability to edit genes. The practical application might be to eradicate diseases, viruses, and human defects such as Down syndrome. Wait, what? You read that right. That means that those that have Down Syndrome are “defective,” according to pro-CRISPR scientists. There is also evidence that CRISPR can eradicate Asperger’s, a condition on the autistic spectrum. If so, we would not have people like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Dan Ackroyd, to name a few. This CRISPR thing doesn’t sound that great. Well, maybe there are things that we can agree […]
