Workday VNDLY Is Defining the Future of Total Workforce Management

At its town hall yesterday, Workday outlined a clear strategic shift for VNDLY, its vendor management system that helps organizations manage external or contingent workforces (contractors, freelancers, etc.). VNDLY is being revamped from a traditional vendor management system into an AI-enabled “control plane.” Admittedly, I was unfamiliar with this term, but a ‘control plane’ serves as the brain of an enterprise system or systems. It sits above tools a system may have for HR, payroll, ATS, etc, to interpret that data, apply policies, and orchestrate actions through AI and automation. Kind of like a conductor for your HR tech orchestra. Led by Mariana Santiago, John Adkins, Hannah Atkins, and Stephen Middleton, the session highlighted Workday’s VNDLY as a key piece of the company’s wider agentic […]

Tips for Gaining Financial Security

14 Tips for Gaining Financial Security and Independence

I recently read that more than 64% of people in the United States alone are living paycheck-to-paycheck. That means that 64% of Americans are literally one flat tire away from being unable to pay their rent or their mortgage, and a layoff away from financial ruin. I’m fortunate to have developed financial savvy during my life, and while this is a bit of a departure for 3Sixty Insights, I wanted to share some advice to help others gain a level of security. Learning these fundamentals has given me the financial freedom to do things that those 64% of people couldn’t even fathom, like quit a job without a replacement lined up, or start a business. My hope is that by sharing what I have learned […]

What You Need to Know Growth through expansion and, in particular, mergers-and-acquisition (M&A) transactions continues to be a fundamental business objective for businesses across all sectors and industries. In 2021, M&A activity totaled $5.9 trillion globally, breaking previous records. According to market experts, despite a drop in the first half of 2022, pre-pandemic numbers are returning. The rewards of growth by acquisition are considerable, particularly if broadening your services and product offerings becomes a key differentiator, thereby putting you in a much stronger position in the market. However, there are several considerations around expansion through M&A that can cause issues for companies during the integration phase and beyond. This Analyst Insight focuses on the scalability of your resources, especially around employee acquisition and workforce management. […]

The Launch of Zuora Secure Data Share for Snowflake Is Only Logical

“Star Trek: The Next Generation” isn’t quite the original, but The Borg absolutely deserve a place in the Pantheon of Sci-Fi nemeses right beside Klingons, Tribbles, and Harcourt Fenton Mudd. It’s impossible to work with enterprise application software and not be fascinated by The Borg. Advances in automation are constantly and inexorably being assimilated back into the enterprise collective. (Resistance is futile.) General ledger achieves automated input from accounts receivable (financials). Next, AR becomes connected to sales (CRM). Eventually, sales bills directly from the catalog (procurement) and automatically feeds commissions (payroll), which pays employees (human capital management, HCM) via bank accounts (treasury), and it all eventually becomes “ERP.” Or so we’d like to think… The first rule of assimilation (sorry, that’s Deep Space 9) is […]

Anatomy of a Decision: Family Service Rochester Elects to Partner With AssetHR and Implement isolved

What You Need to Know Many industries have struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic: supply chain issues, the Great Resignation, and ongoing shifts between remote and on-site work have plagued the majority of companies in nearly every field. The healthcare industry has had it worse than most. There are simply not enough qualified medical professionals to meet the global need. Ironically, just as work-life balance is gaining broad acceptance as a critical element of mental health, it has become nearly impossible for anyone working in healthcare to attain. With rampant burnout industry-wide, healthcare organizations are struggling with retention, and even the most well-intentioned are hard-pressed to improve the employee experiences they’re able to provide in the circumstances. A recent study conducted by isolved found that 36 […]
