For vendors relying on demos alone, this is a wake-up call: table-stakes features won’t close the deal—your sales process will.

Video: Why Legacy Brands Fail – The Cost of Ignoring Innovation

In this video, Nicholas Biron unpacks a pattern he’s seen across industries: resistance to innovation is the fastest path to irrelevance. From cabs vs. Uber to Sears vs. Amazon, he explores how companies that once dominated their sectors crumbled when they failed to adapt to shifting consumer expectations and new technology. Analyst Insight: Addressing the HR and Leadership Disconnect

Today’s business landscape, marked by rising costs, increasing labor expenses, compliance demands, and global disruptions, has left many businesses struggling to stay efficient and profitable. In response, executives are pressuring sales teams and seeking cost-cutting measures. What’s often overlooked is the potential for Human Resources (HR) to drive profitability through initiatives that align with business goals by valuing the organization’s people. When HR works in tandem with executive leadership and integrates with the overall business strategy, the resulting consonance supports both people and the bottom line. The Modern Time of HR Until recently, HR’s role was mainly administrative rather than strategic — providing a compliance perspective, headcount, or administering payroll and benefits, but rarely driving organizational decisions. However, the COVID-19 pandemic deeply impacted the HR […]

The Link Between Financial Wellness and Employee Performance

Roughly 60% of Americans reported living paycheck to paycheck in 2024. These numbers are unsettling, especially given their consistent growth. But it also means nearly two-thirds of the U.S. workforce could face a financial crisis over something as simple as a flat tire. The downstream effects of this are not just confined to workers. They also impact the performance of the businesses they work for. If you’re stressing about finances, you show up to work distracted and overwhelmed before the workday even starts. In response to this issue, companies like DailyPay and Chime are taking innovative approaches to addressing financial wellness in the workplace. Their focus isn’t just on providing financial education but on creating actionable tools that empower employees to manage and improve their […]

Debunking the Pay-for-Play Perception in Analyst Firms

Two weeks ago at HR Tech, I had an insightful conversation with an executive from one of the larger HR and Payroll organizations in our space. In this article, I want to break down the differences between major firms like Forrester and Gartner, other research firms, and influencers, to help clarify how the research industry operates.
