Jay is a seasoned Human Resources professional, with over 15 years’ experience in the U.S. and internationally, supporting creative, commercial & non-profit organizations at various stages of their growth journey – from startups scaling globally to established luxury brands.
Jay is the Founder of Culture Canopy – a Human Resources consultancy focused on partnering with mission driven clients who seek to create a positive impact in the world – particularly those in the vegan, sustainability & animal advocacy space. Jay also works with the Fixer Advisory Group as a HR Executive Advisor.
Jay has experience in delivering initiatives across People Operations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Development, Engagement, Culture, Total Rewards, HR Systems, Workforce Planning & Budgeting, Inclusion & Organizational Design. Jay has also provided coaching & strategic mentorship to leaders across the organizations he has worked with.
Originally from the UK and now based in NYC, Jay has worked with luxury fashion brands across the Kering & LVMH groups, including Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Balenciaga, Bottega Venetta, Gucci & Saint Laurent – supporting the corporate, creative & design, wholesale & retail functions. In addition to his experience in the fashion world, Jay has worked with alcoholic-beverage group Pernod Ricard, luxury fashion photographers and stylists, and in the public relations world. Jay has experience across multiple counties, including in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Japan and the UK.
In his compassionate, modern, and strategic approach, Jay seeks to find creative, holistic solutions for organizational challenges, which are right-sized, bespoke & future-focused. As a member of the LGBTQI+ community, Jay has a sensitivity to the experience of those who are part of marginalized communities and is passionate about creating harmonious work environments of equity, equality & opportunity.
