At its 2025 Analyst Day, UKG doubled down on its commitment to becoming an AI-first company. Unveiling a sweeping strategy designed to transform the workforce experience for both employees and employers.

UKG described how the company is evolving from traditional workforce software to an AI-driven platform grounded in real-time data, extensibility, and industry-specific insight. This transformation is powered by the FleX Platform and People Fabric, which together provide a unified data architecture that fuels AI-powered workflows, intelligent recommendations, and automated task execution.

A centerpiece of UKG’s AI vision is Bryte, its proprietary AI engine. Bryte is embedded throughout the platform to support a wide range of use cases:

  • Bryte Job Genius generates job descriptions and interview guides.
  • Paycheck AI Agent answers employee payroll questions and flags discrepancies.
  • Employee Self-Service Agent assists with scheduling, PTO requests, and pay summaries.
  • The Benefits Formula Editor utilizes AI to configure complex benefit plans prior to launch.

From frontline enablement to executive-level decision-making, UKG is integrating AI into every corner of its platform, making its tools smarter, more predictive, and personalized. With the HR industry moving beyond automating routine tasks, the result is a scalable, secure, and flexible ecosystem where “AI agents” act as digital collaborators. These agents offload repetitive tasks, such as payroll processing, benefits administration, and scheduling, so employees can focus on higher-value work. UKG’s AI agents and Bryte engine are prime examples of this evolution.

Already, more than 2,500 AI models are active across UKG’s suite, with over 10 million employees interacting with them on a monthly basis. Predictive AI supports workforce planning by identifying trends, such as flight risk and shift fatigue. Generative AI is used to create personalized coaching insights, cultural feedback summaries, and even real-time document Q&A features. For instance, managers can now use conversational reporting tools to explore workforce data and generate dynamic visualizations instantly.

As part of the move to “democratize AI” that many AI-enabled companies have taken, users now expect their workforce tools to behave more like consumer apps—intuitive, personalized, and voice- or chat-enabled. Additionally, recognizing that smaller businesses often lack dedicated IT or HR support, UKG has made AI accessible through guided setup tools. Simplified integrations, no-code tools, and guided AI setup are critical steps in ensuring SMBs aren’t left behind.

Talent development is also seeing real advances, with personalized learning paths that offer candidates, especially high-potential ones, more pathways than ever to make the most of their time with an organization. UKG’s use of predictive and generative AI for coaching and flight risk insights taps into this, helping businesses lower retention risks in the process.

Looking ahead to FY26, UKG plans to eliminate the traditional homepage altogether in favor of a fluid, adaptive UI tailored to each user’s “flow of work.” Whether clocking in, submitting expenses, or reviewing performance, users will be able to simply tell the AI what they need – no menu hunting required. AI will remember prior interactions, adjust to individual behavior, and act proactively across devices and communication channels.

Amid growing concerns about responsible AI, UKG emphasized transparency through its Bryte Confidence Score, ensuring users know how confident the AI is in its recommendations. This is key to gaining trust in automated decisions, especially for critical tasks like payroll compliance and workforce forecasting.

By embedding AI agents into every layer of its platform, UKG is helping organizations operate more efficiently, retain top talent, and give every employee, from hourly workers to HR executives, a clearer, more empowered path forward. As labor markets tighten and workplace demands evolve, UKG’s intelligent workforce platform is positioning itself as an essential partner in navigating the future of work.
