Organization Interviewed

3Sixty Insights spoke with Tamra Miller, Benefits Manager at Ingevity. Ingevity is a specialty chemicals company headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina. Although the company is less than ten years old, it was derived from a larger pre-existing organization. To date, it has approximately 1,700 employees, including 1,350 based in the United States. The remainder of its employees are spread across the globe, with a notable footprint in China and United Kingdom.

Miller has been with Ingevity for almost nine years, having signed on to help the company through its spinoff from its parent organization. As Benefits Manager, she oversees global benefits, health, and welfare, as well as 401(k) administration and workers’ compensation for US employees. She also cites maintaining Ingevity’s position as an employer of choice among the responsibilities of her role: “Benchmarking and just trying to make sure that we stay competitive and review what we offer our employees.”
